THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Utility Commission (PUC) has an exciting opportunity in the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement's Pipeline Safety Division for a Civil Engineer General position in its Southeastern PA Region: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. This is an entry-level position within an engineering staff of the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement performing Operational Compliance Inspections (OCIs), Reportable Incident Investigations (RIIs), Non-reportable Incident Investigations (NRIIs), and Emergency Action Implementation Reviews (EAIRs). An employee in this job performs a variety of pipeline safety engineering work assignments that require the interpretation and application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and guidelines, using engineering judgment in determining whether compliance with regulations has been achieved.
