The Pittsburgh Section of the AEI is currently inactive. IF you are interested in getting involved or reaching local members, please contact Past President Erin Feichtner.About The architectural engineering institute was founded as a technical sub-committee under the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in 1998. This growing field of engineering works closely with other disciplines to ensure all aspects of a project follow an integrated, multidisciplinary approach. Architectural engineering can be summed up in one work: integration, which we hope to provide to professionals in Western PA. The ASCE strives to provide its members with an abundance of professional development materials, continuing education resources, volunteer opportunities, along with member benefits such as 5 free PDHS per year. Of the 150,000+ members, roughly 8,000 are part of the AEI institute. The Pittsburgh section of the AEI’s main objective is to provide events and opportunities for professionals in the area to acquaint themselves with others working in similar fields through networking events, volunteer opportunities, informational seminars, educational resources, and site tours. This goal will be accomplished with active members and industry contacts willing to support the chapter and create dialog with other local chapters, such as: AIA, ASHRAE, ASME, EWRI, IEEE, and SEI. Membership Events are open to members and non-members. Not an AEI Member? Join Now! Membership is available at a professional, student, and organizational level through ASCE; however. ASCE membership gives you one free institute membership and each additional is only $30! Additional Information |
