ASCE Pittsburgh recognizes projects, people, and employers for their achievements and contributions to the Section and the civil engineering practice. These awards are given annually during Engineers Week to celebrate and raise public awareness about civil engineering and the contributions that civil engineers make to our society.
PROJECT Award Nomination Categories are:
For project awards, submit a 1-page nomination letter from an organization or project manager describing how the nominee meets the award criteria, a project summary (2 pages max), a 100-word max abstract, and one or more project photos.
PEOPLE Award Nomination Categories are:
For people awards, submit a 1-page nomination letter from an organization or supervisor describing how the nominee meets the award criteria. A resume (2 pages max), a 100-word bio, and a color headshot is also encouraged.
EMPLOYER Award Nomination Category is:
For the employer award, submit a 1-page nomination letter from an organization or employee describing how the nominee meets the award criteria, an organizational summary (2 pages max), a 100-word abstract, and a company logo.
Submit a single pdf file containing all required items and name the file as AwardName-NomineeName-2023.pdf

| About Student Awards FoundationThe ASCE Pittsburgh Section’s Student Awards Foundation presents cash awards to students each year for the American Bridge Leadership Award, Italo V. (Ody) Mackin Achievement Award, and ASCE Achievement Awards. These awards recognize outstanding civil engineering students preparing to be future leaders of the profession. Thanks to the donation by American Bridge, Mackin Engineering Company and all the generous contributions from the ASCE membership.
