ASCE Pittsburgh recognizes projects, people, and employers for their achievements and contributions to the Section and the civil engineering practice. These awards are given annually during Engineers Week to celebrate and raise public awareness about civil engineering and the contributions that civil engineers make to our society.

The Pittsburgh Section is seeking nominations for outstanding projects, people, and employers in 2025. Awardees will be honored during the 2026 Engineers’ Week Awards Banquet in February at the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania. Nominations are due to Bill Trimbath (btrimbath@collectiveefforts.com) by Wednesday – December 31, 2025. Nomination packages should be submitted as a single PDF file that includes the required materials (see below) developed in accordance with the criteria for the particular award.

| About Student Awards FoundationThe ASCE Pittsburgh Section’s Student Awards Foundation presents cash awards to students each year for the American Bridge Leadership Award, Italo V. (Ody) Mackin Achievement Award, and ASCE Achievement Awards. These awards recognize outstanding civil engineering students preparing to be future leaders of the profession.
