The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for an Appointment Stream faculty position with an emphasis on education. Although open to outstanding candidates in all disciplines of civil and environmental engineering, this position is intended for applicants with expertise in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering materials, mechanics, and/or structural engineering.

Preference will be given to appointees at the Assistant Professor level, but applicants with outstanding credentials will be considered at higher levels. The initial appointment will be for three years with the possibility of continuation and promotion according to the University of Pittsburgh Appointment Stream Faculty guidelines.
