    ECS Mid-Atlantic is looking for a Geotechnical Senior Project Manager and a Geotechnical Assistant Staff Project Manager to join their Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office.

    Geotechnical Assistant Staff Project Manager:

    Duties:

    ·         Primarily involved with assisting staff with management of engineering/construction inspection projects

    ·         Responsibilities include assisting with preparation of reports, proposals, and invoicing

    ·         Assist with management of project progress with respect to budget and collection efforts.

    ·         Additional responsibilities include business development with a focus on maintaining regular client contacts

    ·         Other duties may include assisting with or performing the following with limited supervision:

    o    Performing boring layouts

    o    Preparing drilling packages and obtaining utility clearances

    o    Perform research on local geologic history

    o    Assisting with drill rig supervision and rig access issues

    o    Performing in-situ testing

    o    Classifying soils

    o    Determining and/or performing appropriate laboratory tests

    o    Geotechnical Analysis and calculations

    o    Assisting with preparing geotechnical engineering reports and proposals

     Qualifications:

    ·         BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university; MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred, other similar engineering degrees considered if program is ABET accredited.

    ·         0-2 years of related experience

    ·         Engineer in Training (EIT) license would go a long way

    ·         Leading and mentoring a team of geotechnical engineers and project managers

    ·         Overseeing geotechnical and field services projects

    ·         Preparing and reviewing reports and proposals

    ·         Supervising drill rigs, performing geophysical surveys, classifying soils, and assigning lab testing

    ·         Marketing and business development

    ·         Maintaining and developing a client database

    ·         5+ years of related experience
