This event is organized around elevating sustainability and its professionals as our region's rising leadership. As you'll see, the focus is on the importance of business and local government working more closely together, particularly around the pressing issues of clean water, transportation, and innovative finance for redevelopment. These issues, and the pending potential costs to our communities, will increasingly be on the radar of every business in our region. This event will help launch collaborative efforts in preparation for these coming challenges.
Among highlights of the conference will be the launch of the new SWPA Sustainable Business and Municipal Roundtable. Chaired by two leading sustainability coordinators (Allison Robinson, UPMC and Mario Leone, Borough of Monaca), the Roundtable's initial focus will be on financing green infrastructure.
