Green Building Alliance: DLCC Progress Report
When
10 Nov 2011
7:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Location
David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Ft. Duquesne Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
The Pittsburgh chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute is partnering with the Green Building Alliance to provide ASCE Pittsburgh members the opportunity to attend the following event at a reduced rate.
Green Building Alliance, in partnership with the Sports and Exhibition Authority and The Heinz Endowments is hosting a breakfast event unveiling a two-year case study of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The David L. Lawrence Convention Center, a publically owned and financed construction project, established Pittsburgh and the region as a leader in green building. Now it’s time to grade this investment. A two year building operations and performance study offers a candid look at the costs and benefits of this green building. Energy, water, waste, indoor air quality, occupant satisfaction, and corporate culture – they’re all here, with hard numbers behind them, and benchmarked against original design intent and other convention centers across the country. The project team will share their findings on the costs and benefits of striving for LEED certification.
Come learn how the David L. Lawrence Convention Center turned LEED-NC certification into measured green building performance -- and how other buildings can do the same.
