Nominations

The 2017 Nominations and Election process is complete.  

If you're interested in getting involved with the Section please contact President Coreen Casadei about open committee positions.  The next call for Nominations will being in January 2018.

Nominations for the positions of President- Elect (Vice President) (2017-2018), Treasurer (2017-20), and three Directors (2017-20) will be received by the Nominating Committee during the period January 20 - February 20, 2017.  Qualifications and duties of officers and directors may be found in Article 6 of the Section Bylaws.

Nominations should include the following information:
  • A one page cover letter stating the candidate’s commitment to serve, if elected. The candidate’s ASCE Member Number and Address of Record should be included.
  • A professional resume of no more than three pages.
  • A letter of nomination or endorsement from an organizational entity.
  • A recent passport type photograph suitable for publication.

Following a review of the above information, the Nominating Committee may schedule interviews with candidates as needed. Interviews will include a candidate’s oral statement, a question and answer period, and a closing statement. Depending on the number of candidates for each position, the nomination process prescribed in Sections 7.6 and 7.7 of the Section Bylaws will be followed.

Please give serious consideration to this opportunity to contribute to the future leadership of the Pittsburgh Section and submit your nominations within the time frame specified above to Committee Chair, Cathy Bazan-Arias.
